Branding Identity for a Fictional Book Store

About the Project

Cocoon Books is a concept for a book store inspired by the idea of a “blind date with a book.” The store would sell gently used books covered in brown paper with a short description of the genre and plot on the outside, so that customers do not judge a book by its cover. For the branding design, I used butterflies as inspiration and a metaphor, leaning into the idea that a cocoon encloses beauty to be discovered once the butterfly emerges–just like reading a good book.
