Meet the Artist!
I was first introduced to graphic design by my high school art teacher, who asked us to photoshop fruits into a self-portrait to mimic famous Italian painter Arcimbaldo’s style. After a few similar projects gave me the opportunity to play around with Adobe software, I was hooked. And good at it! I won a $100 prize for designing the t-shirt for our senior graduation night, and an art scholarship from a local studio to put toward my degree at Webster University. While there, I also became interested in psychology and took a scenic detour on my career journey and studied art therapy. As the oldest of three sisters, I’ve always been a caretaker at heart and a good listener. I moved to Boston to attend graduate school at Lesley University, and went on to spend five years helping children and teens express their feelings creatively. During this time, I was an extra in a Hollywood movie, learned how to properly poop in the woods on a trip with an outdoor adventure school, and even earned my bus driver license. You can truly never predict how life unfolds!

It was a very rewarding journey; however, I always found myself gravitating toward design projects, being asked by colleagues to design promotional materials for programs and to document the work via photos and videos. I realized my favorite creative modality was helping people promote their mission and tell their stories through art and design. My unique background has taught me to ask thoughtful questions, and my eye for design helps clients achieve the results they might not have the skillset to do so themselves. I was very excited to transition to the design field full time, and have enjoyed every moment since! My goal currently is to connect with organizations and brands changing the world through good deeds, and to support their efforts through promotional design.
When I am not creating, I am traveling and outdoor adventuring! My ideal vacation day consists of spending $8 on a seasonal iced latte in a new city, kayaking in the sunshine, and spending time with my husband and dog, Hagrid.
Check out some of my travel videos below!
Iceland
Flew into Reykjavík and did a clockwise road trip around the entire island. Highlights: the green lagoon, puffins, a tomato farm, ice climbing, and getting engaged on Diamond Beach!
Alaska
Cruised out of Seattle and visited a handful of cities in Southern Alaska. Highlights: spotted humpback and orca whales, experienced a salmon bake, did not get eaten by a bear.
